Black Oak Capital Partners (“BOCP”) is a private investment firm that is focused on acquiring or making minority/majority investments in profitable, growing companies.  BOCP is focused on established businesses led by proven management teams and has experience investing in a broad range of industries.  Investments are structured creatively to meet both the immediate and the longer-term objectives of all the owners and managers of the business.

BOCP is separate from the middle market M&A advisory business of Seare Marriott & Co.  BOCP’s contemplated investments are smaller companies that do not qualify for Seare Marriott & Co.’s advisory business, though Seare Marriott will seek to provide investment banking services when investments reach a certain size and scale.

Investment Criteria
BOCP portfolio companies are defined by the following characteristics:

EBITDA under $2 million;
EBITDA margins in excess of 15%;
Year over year revenue growth of 30-50%;
Industry agnostic;
Geographic focus in Mid-Atlantic and Rocky Mountain West states;
Interested in buyouts and growth capital;
Investments have included subordinated debt, equity and structured capital
